Yesterday, I had no idea what topic I would ramble on about!

Today I unexpectedly heard from an old friend whom I realize I miss dearly. It occurred to me how much has changed over the course of the three 'short' years since we first met although I feel like I've known this friend forever! Time is strange!

So yes, my 'ramblings' today are a result of thinking about this friend and how life has changed us... our choices have changed our lives.. and the many unexpected changes in our life circumstances that have made us who we are right now... in this moment in time! Hopefully our friendship will stand the test of 'time'.

Yup, time has a way of creating change... some changes are natural, some seem so small but over time you realize... how did this happen? And for some, the change occurring is so incredibly unpredictable and sudden... with chaos and confusion, hurt, shock, and perhaps devastation leaving you wondering, how will I survive?!

Yet, even though we know change in our lives is 100% predictable it still remains unwelcomed or at least, surprising.

YUP...If there is one thing in life you CAN count on... it's CHANGE, whether you seek it, fight it, deny it or resist it completely.

With the moon and the tides, change happens.

With unexpected change, some happily adjust, while others are fearful and anxious. Their 'world' falls apart and have difficulty coping.

If there is anything we can teach our children it is to be flexible, adapt and learn to 'let go' when necessary. This is a hard lesson to learn for many people... our need for safety and comfort, patterns and security make us long for, 'hang on' to things, people, situations and relationships so tightly that it becomes unbearable when change occurs. Recognizing and having the ability to 'let go' of what you can't change is freeing and healthy. It is the key to emotional health and ultimately, happiness! Let's teach our children well by example, as difficult as it may be!

And of course, there are 'the others'... those who already know this...the brave and the fearless. Those who are not only adapt to change but actually seek change... they NEED change. Whether this need be on a personal level or a global scale, it requires great courage and intention. These heroes have already learned to 'let go' of the unimportant and strive for change as a pre-requisite for personal or communal happiness! They are determined be of service for the 'greater' good... on an unselfish relentless journey for truth and knowledge that will undeniably create change! A better life, a better world is what they strive for... happiness! I believe happy people raise happy families... and imagine the change in our world then?

Cudos to these fearless risk takers and the 'growers' ... to the seekers of health, wellness,

love, peace, justice, the lovers of nature...

yes, I could go on! To the seekers of change...

I respect and am in awe of you!

And finally, the natural process of change ...ahhh yes, time!

You know how time creeps by ...daily, weekly, with the seasons and one day you wake up and r

ealize, "YIKE...my children are not so young anymore"! How many of us have said, "where has the time gone?" or "time has flown by"?

Well, this last bit of my 'rambling' is about being in the 'NOW'! Enjoy the "little" things... 'cause change happens and before you know it...

those moments are gone.. flash... bye bye!

I just simply want to acknowledge how we often take time for granted. I know I do. Always wondering what next? Instead of what now! I have been guilty of worrying about the future or dwelling on the unimportant (in the 'grand scheme of things'). Yup... 'let it go" and realize the time is NOW and in the 'now' nothing changes! So STOP, let life happen and ENJOY... enjoy those kids, those friendships, that moment when you feel alive and healthy... enjoy your loved ones, enjoy the autumn colours before the leaves fall, enjoy nature...be there, put the phone down... turn the tv off!

Yes, in a year from now, three years from now it will all change!

100% guaranteed!
